Our Goals
Improve Access
We aim to improve access by ensuring that black and racially minoritised communities have access to basic infrastructure services like health, education, housing and welfare.
Capacity Building
We support organisations and groups with capacity building and training to empower local communities, to develop, maintain and manage their growth.
Advocacy
We engage in advocacy efforts to influence government policies and promote investment in infrastructure development.
Research and Development
Through our projects and partnerships, we invest in research and development to find innovative solutions for infrastructure challenges.
Collaboration
We work extensively and in collaboration with public, private, and voluntary sector organisations to pool resources and expertise for effective development.
Education and Awareness
We work with organisations on projects to raise awareness of issues and causes that are important for inclusivity.
Meet The Inclusive North Team
Naz Zaman
Naz is Chief Executive Officer and has over 15 years’ experience leading work to advance racial equity, strengthen racially minoritised organisations and influence the systems and structures that affect communities. Under Naz’s leadership, Inclusive North has developed and supported organisational resilience, community leadership and systems change. Her work focuses particularly on addressing structural inequalities, improving access to resources and investment, and ensuring that communities with lived experience have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect them. Her leadership is grounded in a belief that communities should not simply be consulted about change, but should have the resources, influence and power to help shape it.
Nadia Shiraz
Nadia is the Operations Manager with extensive experience leading the delivery of high-value projects and complex contractual programmes. She has a strong track record of building and sustaining strategic partnerships across public, private, and third sector organisations, ensuring effective collaboration to achieve shared objectives. Recognised for her strategic leadership and operational excellence, Nadia excels at managing complex stakeholder environments, balancing competing priorities, and delivering impactful, results-driven solutions with a focus on quality, governance, and long-term value.
Leanne Lafranceschina
Leanne is the Finance and Admin Officer at Inclusive North, supporting the organisation by overseeing day-to-day financial and administrative processes. She supports the smooth running of the charity by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring processes are organised and efficient. Leanne has been at Inclusive North for four years and is committed to making a positive difference and creating lasting change.
Thomas Khameeree
Thomas is the Comms & Marketing Apprentice, where he supports the organisation's digital presence through content creation, website development, and social media. Thomas has an MA in Arts in Game Development and many skills in IT & Computing, with over 12 years in the content creation space, often using creativity and technology to help amplify community voices, connect people with opportunities, and showcase the inspiring work taking place across the North West. Passionate about inclusive communications, Thomas is proud to contribute to Inclusive North's mission of advancing racial justice and building stronger, more connected communities.
Rehmat Hasham
Rehmat is currently employed as a Research & Policy Officer. She has a strong commitment to equity, leadership, and community development within the Black and racially Minoritised Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector. Rehmat brings extensive experience in adult education, public service, organisational development and community-focused initiatives, combining strategic insight with practical understanding of how policy, funding and grassroots delivery can work together to create lasting impact. Alongside her professional work, she has a keen interest in natural products, wellbeing and self-help, bringing a holistic and people-centred perspective to her work with communities.
Moh Khan
Moh is the Senior Development Officer, with more than 30 years' experience supporting communities, charities and voluntary organisations. His expertise includes community development, governance, organisational capacity building, partnership working and fundraising. Moh is passionate about empowering local people, strengthening grassroots organisations and helping communities influence positive and lasting change. Moh is passionate about creating fairer, stronger and more connected communities. He believes that sustainable change happens when local people are empowered to influence decisions to effect real change and build resilience.
Joseph Marcio
Joseph is a Research and Policy Officer with a background in law, research, and linguistics. He holds an LLB (Hons) in Law and a Distinction MSc in Forensic Linguistics and Speech Science at Lancaster University, where he developed both quantitative and qualitative research skills. Before joining the charity, he volunteered, gaining experience that strengthened his commitment to social justice and equality. He also previously worked as a Senior Analyst, where he developed expertise in project management, communication, and data analysis. He is passionate about using evidence-based research to inform policy and promote racial equity.
Joshua Okoduwa
Joshua is a Development Officer, delivering The Phoenix Way, a National Lottery-funded racial justice programme working with organisations across Greater Manchester. He holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School and an MA in Poverty and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex, and is a Chevening and Watson Scholar. Previously, Joshua's work has spanned international development and the UK charity sector, with a consistent focus on building capacity within Black, Racially Minoritised and community-led organisations. In 2016, he founded Restructure Africa Foundation, which has reached over 23,000 beneficiaries across Africa.
