From a small Lancashire network to an influential racial equity infrastructure organisation, our identity has evolved whilst our purpose has remained constant.

Lancashire Wide Network for Ethnic Women Minority founded,​

1996

BME Pact founded

A collective platform is created to bring Black and Minority Ethnic organisations together, strengthen representation and give communities a clearer voice.

Lancashire Wide Network for Ethnic Women name change to Lancashire Women's Network

2014

Lancashire Women's Network dissolved and merged with BME Pact into Lancashire BME Network

The new name reflecting a broader role: connecting organisations, building capacity and influencing decisions across Lancashire.

Being a key and integral time, due to the pandemic with LBN helping communities accessing information, support and resources, whilst amplifying inequalities exposed by the pandemic.
